The Adirondack Land Trust’s Summer Tour takes us across the region to share conservation updates, gather with people who love the Adirondacks, and celebrate summer. Join us at the Newcomb Community Center in Newcomb, NY, for insights on what’s new in Adirondack conservation.
This venue opened in 2025 to foster community connection and offer a welcoming stop for anyone exploring southern access to the High Peaks Wilderness. We look forward to sharing views of Mount Marcy and the Santanoni Range, plus complimentary food and beverages.
Optional field trip! At 3:30 p.m., Newcomb’s Town Supervisor Mary Lamphear will lead an optional field trip at the Newcomb Fen. Local birder Charlotte Demers and town events planner Dave Hughes will also join the hike. This trip is limited to 12 people.
