Experience Adirondack forests in winter, then meet Adirondack Land Trust staff on Saturday, March 8, at the Black River Environmental Improvement Association (BREIA) trail networks in Boonville, N.Y.
BREIA welcomes cross-country skiers and snowshoers to more than 50 kilometers of trails through 1,500 acres in the western Adirondacks. Start your day at BREIA's Potato Hill Farm, where free cross-country skis and snowshoes for participants aged 10 and up will be available in the Big Barn from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Equipment must be returned by 4 p.m.
From 1 to 1:30 p.m., meet Adirondack Land Trust staff at the Big Barn warming hut at Potato Hill Farm to learn more about how BREIA and the land trust work together to permanently protect forests and trails through a conservation agreement. Then stay to chat with land trust staff and enjoy snacks until 3 p.m. or continue to explore BREIA's trails.

The Black River Environmental Improvement Association is a 1,500–acre conservation and outdoor recreation system located in the western Adirondacks and Tug Hill Plateau region near Boonville, N.Y.
